Travel information - How to get to Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is situated in the southernmost part of the Republic of Croatia and is connected with the European capitals and the rest of the world by air, sea and public transport.

By plane

Dubrovnik has an International airport, located 17 km from the center. All participants flying to Dubrovnik should book their flights directly to Dubrovnik. The name of the Croatian airline company is Croatia airlines.

If you are arriving on a regular flight, there are regular buses departing from the airport to Dubrovnik. Travel time is around 20 minutes.
The buses leave the airport after every landing. The price is Kuna 40 (EUR 5,50) and you can buy the ticket on the bus. For those preferring to take a taxi to Dubrovnik, there are taxi-cars waiting throughout the entire day (just outside the airport hall). You will probably be offered a price in advance, or you can demand that the price be determined by the taximeter. The price is Kuna 300 (EUR 40).
When travelling from Dubrovnik, the departures of the regular buses from the main bus terminal are 90 minutes before the estimated takeoff time.

By Rail

The rail network connects all major Croatian cities, except Dubrovnik. There are direct lines to Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina and other countries. Indirect lines also exist, connecting Croatia to almost all other European countries. If you plan to travel by rail the best way is to arrive to Zagreb or Split and take the bus from there to Dubrovnik.
